During this time she had an award-winning middle school show choir and had a lesson plan published by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during their “Robert Johnson and the Blues” retrospective. She was one of the original pilot teachers of Dr.Will Schmidt’s “World Music Drumming” curriculum, bringing it to both the Rumson ,NJ School District and Sisters Academy in Asbury Park, NJ.She is an author, an illustrator and an award-winning watercolorist, a member of MRGA(Manasquan River Group of Artists), SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators) and has been a volunteer in the Monmouth County Adult Literacy Program for many years.
DONNA STEINHORN, Co-Founder and VP/Secretary of Ludo, is an Executive, Adult ADHD and Life coach with more than 40 years of corporate and business experience. Donna is also the co-founder of the non-profit Coach Initiative -- whose mission it is to be “the central gathering point where professional Coaches can volunteer their experience and expertise in support of global projects that focus on the betterment of the human condition and uplifting the human spirit.” Donna has served as in an advisor to many nonprofits. Previously, Donna was the co-Producer of TEDx Navesink. She is the former Executive Vice President of Coachville and past Dean of the Thomas Leonard Coaching School.
MARY WEIR, Co-Founder and Treasurer of Ludo, is an illustrious Monmouth County architectural designer, book author, business woman, and philanthropist. She started her architectural career specializing in restoration, purchasing and restoring heritage homes, estates and mansions in the New York metropolitan area, Newport, RI, and Palm Beach, FL regions, and subsequently authored two books on her work.. Mary discovered Pacific Encore Performances while working in Australia in connection with a visual arts exchange program, and transplanted the unique company to the USA in 1999.
Mary has been actively involved in the community for many years. She is currently on the Count Basie Arts Education Committee, and has served on the boards of Pacific Opera Performances, the Children’s Cultural Center in Red Bank NJ, and Monmouth University.
SIMON MULLIGAN
British pianist Simon Mulligan has been described by The Times of London as ‘the most abundantly gifted of pianists’, by Yehudi Menuhin as ‘one of the finest pianists I have ever had the pleasure of performing with’. Following his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Simon performed and recorded with the BBC Symphony, Detroit Symphony (under Slatkin), English Symphony Orchestra (Boughton), Warsaw Sinfonia (Menuhin), Hong Kong Philharmonic (Atherton), Malaysian Philharmonic, and the Royal National Scottish Orchestra (Serebrier) to name a few. Simon made his first compact disc under the direction of Yehudi Menuhin, which led to a seven-year collaboration and friendship, culminating in what was to be Lord Menuhin's final concert in Düsseldorf. Since then, recording highlights include Piano for Sony Classical, featuring his own arrangements, compositions, and adaptations for piano and orchestra. Simon has also made compact discs for Universal, Decca, Nimbus and Naxos.
Simon has performed for President Barack Obama, Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family, and has collaborated with Dame Shirley Bassey, Branford Marsalis, Liza Minnelli, Van Morrison, and Sting. Simon’s passion for improvisation has featured in numerous publications including Downbeat, JazzTimes, International Pianist, and Gramophone. He also collaborated with Kamen and is featured on the soundtrack to the HBO television series Band of Brothers, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. As a jazz pianist, he gives concerts with his London quartet and New York trio.Tell people about the amazing people on your team.
